Position Summary

We are looking for a hardworking, dependable Parts Puller to join our team. This position is responsible for safely removing automotive parts from vehicles while maintaining quality standards and meeting production goals. The ideal candidate has previous automotive mechanic experience, enjoys hands-on work, and is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

This is a physically demanding position that requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced salvage yard environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull automotive parts accurately from customer work orders 
• Inspect parts for quality and damage before they leave the yard 
• Tag and label parts correctly 
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely 
• Remove engines, transmissions, suspensions, body panels, interiors, and electrical components 
• Maintain productivity standards and complete pulls in a timely manner 
• Notify management of damaged, missing, or incorrect parts 
• Keep work areas clean and organized 
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines 
• Work as a team to ensure customer orders are completed on time 
• Assist with inventory and yard organization when needed 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications Required

• Previous automotive mechanic experience 
• Strong understanding of vehicle components and systems 
• Ability to identify automotive parts quickly and accurately 
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools 
• Valid driver’s license 
• Reliable transportation 
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly 
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb throughout the workday 
• Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, mud, and other weather conditions 

Preferred Skills

• Forklift experience (or willingness to become certified) 
• Knowledge of multiple vehicles makes and models 

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

• Frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds 
• Walking several miles throughout the yard each day 
• Continuous bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching 
• Working around heavy equipment and vehicles 
• Working outside year-round in varying weather conditions
